The Gonzo Guilt! edition pays homage to the legendary collaboration between Ralph Steadman and Hunter S. Thompson, the pioneer of Gonzo journalism. Their friendship and creative partnership began in 1970 at The Kentucky Derby, where Steadman was commissioned to capture the event's essence. The result was the ground-breaking article, The Kentucky Derby is Decadent and Depraved, which marked the birth of Gonzo journalism.

This caricature from 1978 epitomises the immediate impact that Hunter S. Thompson's presence and personality manifested for his friend: the looming forehead, the penetrating eyes and his favourite prop, the cigarette in holder.

The 'Gonzo Guilt!' illustration drawn in 1978 of his friend and collaborator, Hunter S. Thompson, has long been a fan favourite. In the 1990's, Kentucky based printer, Joe Petro III, made a screen print of it. It has always been popular in its two dimensional form.We are proud to be able to bring this iconic artwork into the 3-D world using cutting edge technology.

This brand new, Cold Cast Bronze sculpture takes the artwork to a new level. The two dimensional original drawing has been brought to life as a three dimensional sculpture using cutting edge, digital fabrication techniques. The technique involves blending bronze powder with polyester resin that is then poured directly into a mould, allowing each edition to be individually cast.

The piece is finished with a classic bronze patina and comes in a bespoke presentation box. The sculptures can be displayed free-standing or hung on the wall. We are hugely excited about this brand new release.
