Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard

Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard have worked collaboratively as artists and filmmakers since meeting at Goldsmiths in the mid-nineties. Their artwork is collected by museums and institutions around the world including Tate Modern and the British Government Art Collection. Their BAFTA nominated debut feature, ’20,000 Days on Earth’ is a creative documentary about Nick Cave. It premiered at Sundance in 2014, winning Directing and Editing awards. The Sundance jury said: “This is documentary storytelling at its most visionary and mind- blowing”. The same year, they won the Douglas Hickox Award for Best Debut Director at the British Independent Film Awards. In 2023 they co-curated ‘The Horror Show!’ a landmark exhibition at Somerset House, exploring fifty years of creative resistance. Iain & Jane have been telling stories about music and with musicians for their entire career. Their diverse range of collaborators includes Scott Walker, Gil Scott-Heron, Richard Hawley and Jarvis Cocker. Their most recent film, ‘The Extraordinary Miss Flower’, featuring Emilíana Torrini, premiered at the London Film Festival and will be released into cinemas by the BFI in May this year.
